Scholarship Award Procedures

Applicant Actions

The following documents and information must be provided prior to submission deadline for consideration of scholarship award:

  • 3 letters of recommendation - at least 1 from HHHS administration

  • Transcript provided by HHHS

  • Completed Application

  • 300-word essay: “Why I Should be Awarded a Continuing Education Scholarship”

Foundation Award Actions

Responsibilities of the Foundation:

  • HHHS administration will be notified each September of available scholarships (award amount and number of awards to be given) and will be provided Eligibility Requirements Document

  • Scholarship application packages will be delivered to HHHS administration prior to Jan 15th each year

  • April 1st each year will be application submittal deadline (for all required documents)

  • Selection will be by the Board after application package review in closed session NLT May 20th with presentation during the Hunter Huss Academic Awards Day (HHHS administration will be notified of confidential selections via e-mail NLT May 25th).

  • Presentation will be by the Foundation Chairman or President/CEO

  • The foundation will provide a press release, including photos, identifying scholarship recipients after the awards are presented.

  • Scholarship funds will be issued to the institution upon Foundation notification of student enrollment from registrar.
